Richès Karayib introduces you to STM N.V. a freight forwarder company based on the island of Sint Maarten and its team is composed of 7 people.

This NV (Incorporated) company offers personalized service to the shipping industry in the Caribbean.

With over 18 years of experience in the maritime field, STM N.V. is positioned to meet all of its customer’s needs.

Its owner Stanley Lint unfold itself and share with us its expertises.

STM N.V. since August 2012

STM N.V. has evolved due to the great interest in one of biggest selling points: free consolidation and free delivery to home or office. No Registration fee.

Due to steady competition and new Freight Forwarders in the market offering the same business, the commercial (business cargo) the focus was then changed to the personal cargo market. 

This market has increased substantially due to the increase presence and push of merchants for online shopping.

As a young adult, it was one of my ambitions to start my own business and opportunity presented itself. I believe true wealth and success is created through entrepreneurship.

Your growth is dependent on your input and success is quality of life, even tho as an entrepreneur you work twice as hard.

My ambition in business is not the biggest, but a focus on quality and be innovative.

Our location that is very central and outside the area that is known for Freight-forwarders. Easy parking and accessible by public transportation. We pride ourselves in customer service, free consolidation and free delivery to Home or at customer office.

MY INSPIRATIONS…

I am inspired mainly by Apple Corporation, the simplicity of things.

I don’t have a person or business as role model, just take the best from all and implement it in my own business.

Also in business, when you leave your office you become a customer elsewhere.

Your expectations as a customer should be the same to your customers.

THE MAIN LESSON THAT I HAVE LEARNED

Your friends and families are also customers and won’t automatically use your service or product, you have to sell yourself.

People do business with people they like.

Your business must be personal and connected to your customers.

Create an ecosystem of a few companies in various industries that work close together.

“No man is an island” as John Donne said.

The biggest companies at times merge or work together to achieve a common goal. Smaller businesses should realize strength in numbers but also sharing resources and cutting cost.

Work with other small companies such as tax experts, marketing, IT and accountants.

Create an Ecosystem to work together, sell each other’s service or product.

I have created my own Ecosystem that helps each company grow, it also buys you “favors” and make you and your company a sort of VIP.
